From Afghanistan Best At All to Afghanistan My Passion
The story of a page founded in 2012, a new identity adopted in 2014, and an enduring commitment to Afghanistan.
In 2012, a new journey began under the name Afghanistan Best At All. It started with a simple conviction: Afghanistan deserved to be seen through more than conflict and headlines. Its landscapes, people, traditions, achievements and everyday memories also belonged in the public record.
A beginning shaped by admiration
The original name expressed pride and optimism. At a time when social media was becoming an important meeting place for Afghans at home and abroad, the page offered a space for photographs, cultural memories and moments that reflected a broader image of the country.
Every shared image contributed to a growing digital memory. Individually, these posts captured a moment. Together, they began to form an informal archive shaped by affection for Afghanistan.
A name that became personal
In 2014, the project was renamed Afghanistan My Passion. The new identity expressed something deeper than admiration. It described a personal connection to the country and a responsibility to preserve what might otherwise be forgotten.
The words “My Passion” turned the name into an invitation. Afghanistan could be the passion of anyone connected to its history, culture or people, whether living inside the country or carrying memories of home across the world.
The same purpose, a wider archive
The format has changed over the years, but the central purpose remains. Afghanistan My Passion is now developing as a multilingual digital archive where milestones, photographs, documents, videos and longer stories can be preserved with context.
The journey from Afghanistan Best At All to Afghanistan My Passion was more than a rebranding. It marked the moment when appreciation became a lasting cultural commitment: to remember carefully, to share responsibly and to keep Afghanistan’s memory accessible to future generations.
